I’m very pleased to say that the Windows version of Scapple is now a reality. The folks at Literature and Latte(1) have just released a beta version of the software on their website(2).
But that’s not the exciting news. The exciting bit is that once again(3) I have been able to work with the Windows team at LitNLat to add a Science Fiction interface to the program.
To switch to Sci Fi mode:
- Visit the ‘File’ menu
- Click on ‘Options…’
- Halfway down the ‘General’ tab, is a box where you can select the language. Find the one called ‘Science Fiction’ and select it.
- A pop up will let you know you need to restart Scapple before you see the changes, so click through all the necessary ‘OK’ buttons, close Scapple, and then restart!
I’ll let you browse through the program in your own time rather than spoil all the fun here, but safe to say it has been sprinkled with Sci Fi references from both print and screen classics of the genre, and covers the mainstream to the downright obscure.
